New products of nanotechnology

Due to the large research in nanotechnology, many products are produced to support convenient life-style of nano-age human. The products appear in almost branch of technology. You can see nano product in medical, cosmetics
physical science, food science, engineering, aerospace, weapons etc. Nowadays, your daily life are full of convenience. You don’t need to clean if you have self-cleaning materials. You can reduce the cost of washing if you have the smart textiles that don’t have to wash. The new products that I’m interesting are smart dust and light bulbs that last forever. Smart dust is the name of smart tiny sensor invisible with naked eyes that can connect with people via radio transmitter.

My report about a bright-future solar cells

I think the new generation of solar cells should be nanocrystal solar cells. Based on references, nanocrystal solar cells is cheap, effective, easy-to-make and easy-to-use (ultra-thin film shape)[1]. Compare with organic solar cells, They have an advantage over in about being stable in the air.
Cadmium-selenide (CdSe) and cadmium-telluride (CdTe) were synthesized in nanocrystaline rod shaped on a conductive glass substrate [1]. Due to nanocrystal materials and quantum structure, the life time of electrons much more higher[2]. CdTe has 1.5 eV bandgap which near the range of high absorptivity and CdSe has 1.7 eV bandgap.
Nowadays, nanocrystal solar cells or quantum dot solar cells receive a high attention to improve the method and materials to obtain the well performance.

What's your opinion?

Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen is a beautiful capital of Denmark. I had a chance to visit in April. I liked this city very much. It's peaceful but full of lifestyle. It has many things to do and see. I went to the national museum, Tivoli amusement, a little marmaid, Amalienborg Palace. I had a wonderful time there.

Nanocrystal QDs

Today, I have an opportunity to study about nanocrystal QDs. QDs stand for Quantum Dots that are a zero dimension semiconductor structures confined electrons and holes in discrete quantized energy insight dots. When electrons and holes recombined, they emitted light in many wavelength depend on energy gap. The many color light of nanocrystal QDs is be used in many application such as LED (Light Emitting Didode) for LED displays, traffic light, mobile phone ,white LED for flash-light, car light that give high intensity, electrochromic displays and diode lasers. They also prepared to apply for future device like quantum dot solar cell or nanocrystal solar cell, quantum computer.
Technology brings the convenience for human life, but everything has both bright and dark sides depend on ourselves that know how to use and control in the limitation not just use and use until caused the problem like green house effect.

Nanotechnology

When talking about nanotechnology, I am strongly sure that you
have heard about this technology a lot. It has come so far. Many
products nowaday have involved with nano particle. You may see
many smart materials at ads like water-proof clothes, self-cleaning
glass, nanosensor, etc. The famuse one (I think maybe you had one)
is ipod nano. Some people said it is usually events in this way because
we are living in nano era. Nanotechnology caugth my interesting.
I chose to study in materials physics and nanotechnology programe.
I havev learned a lot of courses including the lab courses. In AMMS
Lab, many of instrument (like AFM, TEM ,SEM)were shown how to
operate to measure nano scale materials. I like this course except
doing the report and having the exam (It's quite hard) .

* AFM = Atomic force microscope
TEM = Transmission electron microscopy
SEM = Scanning electron microscope

ICE HOTEL

Time is running so fast. Spring is coming with the going winter.How about your winter?It's so great, isn't it? My winter is so cool but my friends' one are so splendid. They went to the ice hotel in north sweden. " It's so fabulous, every thing made from ice." they said. They went to kiruna to see polar light and spend time with drinking some wine in the ice glass on ice bar. I was so jealous because I wanted to go.But I cannot find time to go. That's alright,maybe I will go next winter.

Know me a little more ! :)

Why do I name myself "chocoloma" ? >> Many people always ask me.:) Everything has a story to be come, hasn't it? But my story is so simple.Chocoloma came from the most favourite thing and animal of mine. It is choco + loma, choco from chocolate (the top of my favourite dessert) and loma is thai word which mean dolphin (I'm Thai). I like dolphin so much because this animal is so lovely lively and friendly. When I would like to describe myself, I think about this two things frist.It's sum up to be chocoloma >> great to have, happy to be with like when you ate chocolate or play with dolphins.
